We just moved into a new house, it’s a 3 bed detached. I’d like to do something nice with the second bedroom (as in second largest). It is a back bedroom and overlooks our back garden and a nice view of the park that our house backs onto. It’s a comfortable double size room and would be a nice place to work.
I had in mind: desk in front of the window so I can enjoy the view, maybe a second desk or just one long desk that maybe I can use as a dressing table (we want our bedroom to be quite minimal) and also a nice sofa. Or thought maybe a single bed that can be done up with cushions to look like a sofa (maybe with pull out to make it a double?)
Ideas for a compact bed / sofa bed in particular would be good and nice desks for home. I like the idea of a big desk, not bulky but maybe long. And just ways to make it a nice place to work but still ok if we have a guest stay in it.

The thing is I don’t want it to be just a bedroom with a desk in it which would remind me of being a teenager or at uni. I want it to be a nice space primarily for working and a sofa to help it feel more “homely” but could double as a bed.
