Double/single beds

Can anyone advise?
We want to replace two children's single beds. I want to replace them with a bed that can be a double or two singles.
I can't seem to find anything like it looking at the internet but I know a couple of times when we've rented holiday places they ask how you want the beds made up so they must exist.
If I put two single divans together surely there's a risk of them coming apart?
Looking forward to any replies

Zip and links are brilliant. They make up a superking. Loads of the bedding companies make them. The bases usually clip together with a bar at each end and the mattresses zip together. Any good bed shop or online seller should keep them.

Thankyou so much
