Alternative to conservatory blinds

hi there, we have a small lean-to conservatory and can't afford traditional roof blinds. It's so hot and bright in there! does anyone know of an alternative we can try?
do the window films really block out the glare and heat? they seem more reasonable, but still we've been quoted £800 including fitting - which if it doesn't do the job, is a lot! or does anyone know a reasonable blind company?

I got some cheap blackout roller blinds from Argos as the width of the fabric was exactly the same as between the roof bars. I got tension rods probably for net curtains, stuck one through the bottom channel of the blind and sewed a new channel at the top for another one. Stuck them up and they have done the job!
