Hi,
I live alone with my 4 year old daughter. I want to buy a small bed for her to use when her friend comes to sleep (about twice a month).
I want something that doesn't take up much room and is easy to get out and put away.
thanks!

We're you thinking of a trundle bed?

Or a chair bed type?

We have an airbed that we use for camping but also guests - it doesn't take long to pump up, and folds away very small.

Thanks awkward Paws!

I'm really undecided. I 'm just finidng it difficult to make a decision!

I love the trundle bed. But it means replacing my daughter's bed as well as sorting a bed for her friend.
A chairbed is less expensive and less effort in the short term but not as pretty.

I also have an airbed but haven't suggested it to the other child's mother. That would be the quickest option.
Thanks a lot and all other ideas are welcome!

We had great success with readybeds for random visiting children over the years. They're inflatable and all in one, but the covers come off and go in the machine. They stored in a small bag under the bed.

I second ready beds! My son sleeps over at my mums and my sisters occasionally and he has a my little pony one that has been absolutely fab!

He’s a very tall nearly three in age 3-4 and there’s still plenty of room in it so I think it would fit your daughters friend for ages - got ours from Argos for about 20 pound in the sales last summer.

We have these for camping, but also use them for sleepovers and they're brilliant. Fleece blanket over it, and a fitted sheet and they're good to go!

My mum bought a brilliant ‘bed in a bix’ From sofa.com last month. You can choose any upholstery colour/fabric you like, and the whole thing folds away into a little upholstered bench. It’s very clever, and looks like a lovely piece of furniture when not in use.

Thanks everybody. More great ideas!
