Painting advice please!

I'm a bit of a novice at home decorating so be kind to me please!

I am painting a smallish room with silk paint (rather wishing I'd chosen eggshell but too late to change now).

My question is what to paint skirtings, doors etc. I don't relish using gloss - would eggshell look ok with the silk walls or do I need to use satinwood?

Anyone???

I'd paint them with Satinwood so it has a shine and is pretty durable. I think the Matt of the eggshell won't look so good against the slight sheen of the walls.

satinwood or Eggshell. Same stuff just different manufacturer. Also don't use water based primer or undercoat. Use oil based. Takes longer to dry but more durable. Water based paint chips like hell and with kids bashing it soon looks worn
