Throws on sofas - how to stop them slipping

I feel like I spend all my time putting the throws back on the leather sofas. What can I do?

Can you put a long thin pole down the cushions? We use a piece of garden cane!

My bookends are a bit crap at the job.

I'd probably stick a line of velcro down the back of the settee and attach the 'soft' side to the throws. If I could ever get the Furry Gits off them for long enough.
