Nice or a bit tacky-looking?!

Grim and always look like they're a bit dirty, like the neck of a fluffy dressing gown.

But taste is subjective! Have what you like in your house.

Years ago when looking around a show home DD and I crawled around with a couple of the throws that were artfully arranged on the beds over us playing bears until DH pointed out the possibility we'd be on cctv. I bought one for her bed and Ddog went mental, growling, hackles up, at it while it was still rolled up. I took it back. Ddog clearly has better sense of style than I do.

With wooden floors and a scandi look I think they look great.

Cloudtree · 15/03/2019 09:00

Lovely and very on trend to have soft sheepskin. But not over the whole bed, just across it.

madcatladyforever · 15/03/2019 09:02

I love them but only if they are good quality. They are so cosy and remind me of log cabins in the snow.
I have one on my bed and a really lovely one on one of the sofas.
It's worth spending a bit of money as the cheap ones never look good.

Thanks for your replies! @PosiePerkinandPootle lol!!

I do have wooden floors, and I know what you mean about a log cabin look! @madcatladyforever, can I ask where you got yours, please? Prices seem to vary hugely, and it's hard to know how much difference in quality there is!

Quite seaside hotel trying to be Hotel du Vin. Definitely not smart.

greenelephantscarf · 16/03/2019 22:24

dust catcher

just the thought makes me sneeze

Moanymoaner123 · 16/03/2019 22:28

Naff as hell, magnets for dust and grime and awful for the environment. They look shite after you've washed them and they need washing a lot. Just get nice natural sheepskin rugs for by each side of the bed, lovely to step out of bed onto and not polluting the earth with petrochemicals

PurpleDaisies · 16/03/2019 22:29

Horrible.

TigerDroveAgain · 16/03/2019 22:33

They make me think of swingers

sue51 · 16/03/2019 22:35

Not keen.

TheRhythmlessMan · 16/03/2019 22:56

I like the idea of them in a room of minimal colour to add textural interest. E.g. A white bedroom with cream/white sheets and flooring. Maybe not so great if you have bright pink walls, leopard print carpet and patterned furniture!

Thanks so much for the replies!

Dunelm has some great inspiration, I would definitely consider it if you're looking for that scandi interior.
