Kitchen dining table dilemma!

After basically ruining my oak table veneer with years of Dettol wiping 😬 , am looking to replace it and thinking of a ceramic topped kitchen table - they sound very practical but does anyone have one and like it? Grateful for any opinions good and bad!

I think a ceramic topped table would be very heavy

I would find an offcut of granite, loads on ebay and get solid wood legs.

I was the same as you, ruined the table top with years of dettol.

I was going to buy a glass table but in the end I've gone for a beautiful oak and painted table - and a wipe clean table cloth.
