Bedroom paint colour help

I’m usually good with choosing colours but can’t decide on one for our bedroom. Currently we have this bed, which is slightly darker in person.

Our bedding is white, and we are planning to add some white IKEA PAX wardrobes on either side of the bed. The floor is sort of a light limed wood effect LVT.

I was thinking something fairly pale, and I tend to gravitate towards pinks/purples. But nothing is looking right with the bed.

Open to any suggestions please! We need to paint the room so that we can get the wardrobes in.

I need help too. Our bedroom.is large and light and gets the sun in a morning . We will paint our existing wardrobes as we cannot afford new ones yet .I fancy a warm pinky colour for the walls but not sure for carpet/curtains. I don't like people looking in but I don't like old fashioned net curtains. I would like long flowing curtains but the window ledge is quite high so they would look odd. Any advice gratefully received. Sorry to hijack your thread OP.

sandgrown have a look at setting plaster (f and b) for the walls. Or calamine. In either case, I think pale taupe/mink colour curtains would look nice. Full length curtains in a floaty fabric would look nice. Or even just dress curtains with a taupe coloured blind? Navy also works well with both these pinks.

Bluesheep8 · 04/03/2019 08:09

Or voile for the window?

Bluesheep8 · 04/03/2019 08:25

Meant to add, full length curtains won't look stupid at all. Imo they look far better than short ones.

Thank you Bluesheep I will.look at these colours and go with the long curtains I really want

My bed is very similar to yours and we also have white pax wardrobes. We painted with a colour match Peignoir and absolutely love it! Let us know what you decide Smile

Sara113 · 07/04/2019 02:25

@Bluesheep8 and @hoorayhugo we had it done in a Peignoir dupe and it looks great! I wasn’t sure if the bedroom would look too dark, or how it would look with our bed, but I swear all the furniture looks even better now. The room feels so relaxing!

Unfortunately we aren’t going to be able to put the PAX wardrobes in right now, even though that’s why we were in a rush to paint. We need to leave space for the baby and once she moves to her own room, we can finish decking out our bedroom. So no pics for now, but I really love the colour. Thank you both!
