Should wall art match curtains?

Hi all, have just finished painting my living room a very pale grey colour and fancy the contrast of black framed pictures on the walls. As yet we have no curtains, just white wooden blinds so we pretty much have a blank canvas to add colour. One colour we have thought about for curtains is ochre but do we have to find wall art that would fit into a ochre colour scheme? Have attached a picture of the colour, feel free to fire any other colours that might work well :)

I think it's completely personal, I'm a painter and have been sent samples.of curtain fabric to use as reference in the past.
I think I would use similar tones, if matching feels too much.

Ochre is a strong colour, so I would look at it in terms of what is more changeable in the room; curtains are! So I would get the wall art you love first and buy the curtains after, to tie in with the artwork. You have white walls, pick your favourite artwork ever and you hang it; then decide.

no, no art should not much the curtains! just pick a piece you love, art is personal and should have meaning, you want it to be a home and feel personal, otherwise it will look like a hotel or a show room!
