Two single beds together?

Already have a king bed but my DP would like a larger one.

We could get a super king but after going to some hotels they have two singles pushed together, has anyone actually got this at home? Surely you need two specialists beds, if so where to you get them from?

Googling doesn’t throw up a huge amount, I’d love to hear how others manage if they want a larger than normal bed!

Our super king is two singles with a zip connecting them. With a mattress topper the join isn't noticeable. But get a good make. We got a warren evans one as previous mattress from them was so good. Didn't realise they were about to close. These new mattresses are terrible. While the zip isn't aproblem the individual needs have collapsed a bit on their middles leaving a small hill in the actual middle of the whole bed, iyswim.

Ours is a zip and link, love it.

We have just two standard beds pushed together in 2 bedrooms. We live in mainland Europe and its standard here. They aren't special, just two single beds.
They are great actually, ours are in spare bedrooms so we can then easily separate if we have a few friends stay rather than couples, or if children stay they can have a single each.

Zip & link 6ft bed here too, love it, especially now DH sleeps in the spare room in his own 5ft bed so I have the whole super king bed to myself Grin.

Ours is a Harrison super king. The base is in two which bolt together (otherwise would never have got the bed upstairs) with two 3ft mattresses which zip and link together. It’s awesome and I will never go back to a double mattress.

Oh that’s brilliant, thanks for all the comments. I’ve googled ‘zip & link’ and found loads!

Will also check out the bolt one- thanks so much for all the advice (maybe able to get a decent nights sleep now without DP moaning!)

We have a superking from 2 zip and link singles so they can be different tensions and also much easier to manoeuvre. Totally recommend - even though I now sleep solo!
They are best with a good topper though to avoid the join if you sleep in the middle.
