Is this hall colour too dark??

I finally got around to painting my hall and I feel like I've chosen a colour for below the dado rail that is much too dark. It would be a pain to redo it but better now than once I've tidied everything up.

So what do you think? Should I have gone lighter? I am terrible with colour and could really use some advice please! Maybe I can put one coat of lighter paint in a similar colour over the top?

If I can leave it as is (hopefully!) then any advice on decoration like pictures etc for the walls would be great please. Thank you!

It looks tidy but I don’t love it.

I would have gone for either f and b
Middleton pink. It’s a pink!
Ammonite - sludgy green/grey

Twillow the green ceiling was the before picture! I hated it too so painted it white. Yes the cloths were leftover puppy pads- waste not want not.

I know you've decided to leave it anyway but just came on to say it looks lovely especially in the later photos. Rest for a while now, I always feel shattered after painting. Smile

Agree the brown is fine and not the issue at all. Fgs don't follow the hordes into grey or navy . The colour needs something sharper and more contrasting on the floor.

Thank you! I'm now happy with it after putting up a bunch of art (repositioned from elsewhere in the house). Our cat says he loves the brown as it coordinates with his stripes, although he's currently pissed off at me because it's raining...
