Sitting room, big room with dual aspect (wanky sorry) North, South. Low ceiling.

Has been (all F&B)- New White (too pale), Matchstick (looked dirty) and now Light Grey (too grey, weirdly 🙈).

Want warm and cosy but not too dark.

Sofa and rug are beige and cushions are a mix of reds/purples/greens. Curtains are a deep purple wool

Have had light reflective 'desert wind' by dulux which was nice. A warm creamy colour that felt really bright and clean.

Polished pebble is a lovely bright grey but I'm not sure grey would work with the beige you mentioned. Might be worth a look though. It actually came out lighter than the magnolia it painted over.

Thanks that’s nice but maybe too pale (starting to hate myself!!!)

Try F&B Worsted

We’ve just had our lounge and dining room ( again dual aspect with dividing doors) in polished pebble and I love it. It’s more grey in some lights and tinged blue in others, depending on the time of day. I was worried it would be too pale but it’s not pale at all.
We are just about to have a light beige slightly flecked carpet and it all blends very nicely so I don’t think you’ll have any problems with the colours you already have.

F&B Slipper Satin?

Frouby · 26/01/2019 08:42

I like Dulux Egyptian Cotton.

It's not warm like magnolia, but not cold like white or grey. It's clean and airy but not clinical or officey or cold. My sofa is tan and my cushins an acidy yellow, my curtains dark cream and beige and my throws a mushroomy colour and it all goes quite nicely.

F and B Talliw. You'll love it 😍

Tallow I mean - I got so excited 😂

Dulux just walnut is lovely with purples. I have it in my kitchen.

BlazeM · 26/01/2019 11:59

F&b cornforth white.
It’s a warm light grey but not too grey.
Slightly darker and warmer than polished pebble, more grey than Egyptian cotton

F&B are v helpful if you contact them - I sent them a db message with photos of my room & flooring & direction of windows. They were great & gave me several options

We've just painted using Dulux Pebble Shore. It's grey, but imo a very warm grey, it has brown undertones in some lights.

Have also just used Dulux Egyptian cotton, a lovely colour. It's beige, looks grey in some lights.

@Runbikeswim oh agree with this! Love the f&b tallow.

Obsessed by their ammonite too

Amyheadache · 05/02/2019 20:56

I have a RAL colour in my guest bedroom that sounds perfect but I don’t know the code! Having looked at the f&B shade card it looks a lot like drop cloth x
