Ikea sofas?

Has anyone had a fabric sofa from there?

We've had our leather/leather look one since 4/1/2019 & to be honest we're not best impressed. It's comfortable to a point, however I seem to get backache a bit if I'm sat on it for a while, but that's not the problem, the main thing we've noticed is the wrinkling and the 'bagginess' already & it's kind of got us thinking if it looks like this after 3 weeks, what will it look like in say 6 months a year?

DH wants to see if we can exchange at least for a fabric one as he's not happy keeping it, but how do the fabric ones hold out? I've had a quick peek online & we did try and out the Tidafor one before which felt comfortable.

We had the soderhamn for 4 years - it was still going well when we relinquished it (bought a new set of covers for it because of cats 🙄). I absolutely loved it. We had a corner configuration. It is low, so not for everyone, but the seats are deep and comfortable. If 11 cats, an 18st dh that rather plonks than sits down, a toddler and 3 house moves can't kill it, nothing can. I'd happily buy another sofa from there.

I've got a Tidafors one. Bought it 5 or 6 years ago it as a stop gap following a house move but it's so comfy I haven't bothered replacing it yet. It's always got various throws on it as the covers aren't removable.

As it turned out, we got the Vimle one. Saw it instore, sat on it & decided it was the one for us. Had it a few days now & so far so good!

I know this is an old thread but @youvegottobekidding how is your ikea sofa doing now? I really like the look of the Vimle range!

mumtomaxwell it’s still in really good condition! 17 months (I know that’s young for a sofa) on and I can’t fault it, no sagging on cusions, they’re still really plump. We got the Tyallmara (light beige) cover one, so we do use a throw for the main seating but which obviously helps keeping it clean but you can take the covers off & wash them, I just haven’t done that yet as it’s not got that dirty to be honest. And it’s incredibly comfortable!

Fab, thank you @youvegottobekidding I haven’t found anything else that looks quite as good.

I know this is an old thread, but on the basis that I was interested enough to open it, I guess others will Grin.

I have an Ektorp sofa (and a spare cover) in my sewing room, and I love it. It's really comfortable and supportive.
