We have an exchange student coming next week and for one reason or another I've left it very late to sort out the spare room. I need some help on colours as I'm terrible with this sort of thing... please help!

I've de cluttered so it's a blank canvas, planning on buying new curtains, new duvet cover and a rug...

In the room there is a nice traditional pine double bed , large book cases and a pale green carpet which I can't change. The walls are white.

What shall I go for with colours??

Light green and/or lemon accessories possibly?

Pale green or grey walls, plain white bedding with an accent throw and cushions and some patterned curtains in a darker shade of the walls?

elliollie · 18/01/2019 01:20

Some ideas?

They've all gone for white curtains but I'm not sure they're practical in keeping the light out.

Thanks for the ideas...I'm also worried about white curtains. I think I'll do the room and leave buying curtains until last.
or is that a bad idea.?

In our old house I deliberately had white curtains in the east facing spare room so guests didn't sleep late. Nothing annoys me more than guests who rock up for breakfast at lunchtime.
