Blush pink - what can I put with it that is not too girly?

So I have got some blush pink linen curtains I inherited from my DD room - she hates them. They are fine and I hate to throw things out so will use them in my room. Then I went and bought a blush pink feather lampshade from Laura Ashley (I know! which I am really not sure about......because I'm not really a pink person) So I need your help. What can I put with it which is not too girly girly! All I can think of is grey and white (white duvet, grey throw/bedspread) but DD has that colour scheme and I don't want to copy. Would citrus lime bedspread look ghastly? or maybe a strong peacock blue? i would like to aim for vintage/french feel if poss!

Try to get some samples of the f and b shades. I'm not sure about north facing rooms but if you paint big sheets of lining paper with each and bluetak them up on each wall, next to a sheet painted with the pink, the right one should jump out at you. Also have a look at the shade drop cloth and see what you think.

Sorry just re read and seen that it's pink accessories not paint that you're asking about. I will post a pic of my spare room (when I've tidied it! Blush)

And this is elephants breath which I think would look lovely with blush pink accents.

Thanks dance yes I'm very much a fan of white furniture with beige/greige walls. Wardrobe was from dunelm, highly recommended!

lovely - thanks - we've got a f and b shop so will go and do as you suggested and get some taster pots and paint some paper/card
I was worried because I had just bought a new white duvet set but as you say white and beige/grey just looks so crisp :)

White bedding would be lovely, just add some pink cushions or a throw

Or just a few flowers here and there. I'd be interested to hear which of the paint shades you like. You can always get them copied in another brand if you choose to.Smile
