Floor standing lamp for DC’s desk

We’ve had a move around and made a study area in the spare bedroom. The desk sits in the bay window though and so the lighting isn’t great.
Can anyone recommend a suitable floor lamp that will be good for studying/computer use etc?

We have one similar to this which works well. It's dimmable too, so we can adjust dependent on screen requirements.

That's the style I was going to suggest. It comes in chrome/ brass/ black if you want a dimmable one.

I'm wondering about the light itself and which one is best for studying, reading etc. Best for the eyes I mean. Is it personal choice or are some lights/bulbs better?
