These curtains... but cheaper

I'm looking for navy curtains with a white pattern for my living room, to cover a large bay so it's going to be pricey.

I can see loads I like on Pinterest but none off the peg (pencil pleat) in the UK... does anyone have any good ideas? I'd really appreciate a few pointers if anyone has managed to spot any.

By "but cheaper", I mean as opposed to buying fabric and having them made.

I didn't really think that title through.

There are quite a lot of curtains around in that colour but the problem is they tend to be eyelet curtains rather than pencil pleat. This was all I could think of:

FWIW, that first Dunelm fabric, "Lucetta', is an ILiv fabric: "Tiffany" from their Cotswold range. I came across it when looking in a specialist curtain shop (in different colours www.i-liv.co.uk/tiffany-mulberry-woven.html) It was around £30 pm. It's a good quality fabric.

eBay is worth checking.

Could you cost up buying eyelet curtains too long and having them professionally altered to pencil pleat? Would imagine that would be lots cheaper.

Thanks so much for the replies!

Those dunelm ones are great, but as you say they are eyelet which would require fitting a pole round our non standard bay.

Yes to shortening eyelet ones, except we already need the longest standard length.

The search continues, good tips about the fabric and eBay, thank you!

We’ve just shortened eyelet curtains to fit a bay window. You hardly lose any length at all as you can cut right at the bottom of the eyelet.

Also, Laura Ashley have a much bigger sale on than their usual sale at the moment.

Thanks MamaNature, I really like the last link but unfortunately out of stock in the size I'm after...

I like the dunelm ones as well, definitely one to think about, thanks!

Thanks for the Laura Ashley too Rita! Off to check them out now.

228 is exactly floor length for us, so I'd prefer either that or sill length at a push, not an inch or so off the floor. It does seem to be that the patterns I prefer are all eyelet, though!
