Bit of a long shot but does anyone know how I can give a plain lampshade a copper (reflective) inner makeover?
Similar to those Made.com lampshades that are all the rage
I have a copper lined table lamp(shade) and I love the warm tone it throws off - I'd like my floor lamp to match. It's hard enough to find oval lampshades and virtually none of them have a copper lining. By contrast plenty of the cylindrical/drum shapes do! The shade I have isn't that big, I'd need less than a metre.
I found a tutorial on a US website but I can't find copper/metallic adhesive contact paper anywhere online.
My shade wasn't cheap, I was hoping I could transform it on a budget rather than spend another £20 on materiald
I don't think coppery wallpaper or paint is going to cut it
I don't have Hobbycraft in my town, not sure if they'd stock that kind of thing. It doesn't even have to be self-adhesive
