Redecorating next week. He’s not bothered about any particular colour etc. In fact just said “paint it white”.

It’s a South facing attic room so combed ceilings all going to be white, but would like to add a splash of colour. Flooring is oak and furniture white, which won’t change.

Need inspiration on wall colour/bedding/window treatments. Any suggestions gratefully received!

If he says paint it white then I would paint it white. It fits with everything and then do some coloured bedding. Maybe you can show him three different pictures of rooms and ask which one he likes best and go with that colour theme?

I love a white and dark grey for a male bedroom. Some ideas here from Pinterest. I love the wood addition too, but depends if he likes a more modern clean look or a rustic man cave type one.

Mine had Joa's white and navy, with pointing. A splash of red detail. He loves it.

I think if he's said he wants it white, you should do what he asks.

Actually, he said "I'm not bothered, just paint it white or something". So I'm thinking I can make a bit more effort as I feel a completely white room is a bit stark.

Most of the room will be white, as the ceilings are coombed, just want to give it a bit of oomph! Navy sounds nice actually.

My dB has just decorated his son’s room with discarded (I hope) Mercedes hub caps.Hmm

I would go with white paint on the walls. It will help the room feel spacious, plus it'll be easier to find colourful accessories that work with it.

I used Dimpse by F&B in my sons room with navy and other blues, a bit of red, looks good (I think!)

Just done the same. I kept the existing curtains, which are bright blue/green/grey, so painted the walls a darkish blue/grey and the ceiling and woodwork a lighter grey. Bedcover is bright blue. Lots of colour from books and pictures. He had also said "white or something"; but loves it
