I have no idea what to go for. We have a large window which we spent a lot on made to measure cream wooden blinds years ago and can’t change them.

We’ve had a light/duck egg room but am sooo ready for a change! Our furniture needs changing too. Any ideas???

I'd get yourself on Pinterest and type in "bedroom" and look through - as you find things you like, click on the pin and look below for "more like this". Keep pinning and see if there is a consistent scheme that keeps coming up, or maybe one you never thought you'd like:

Cream walls, wooden furniture, white bedding, green accents (plants?)

Green walls (wallpaper?), gold accents, metal bed

Wheat coloured walls, dark/black furniture, cream carpets

Terracotta pink walls, white floorboards, kilim rugs, mahogany furniture, plants

The alternative is to search for new furniture you love and build around it. For example this bed was for sale at Lots Road auction house this weekend for less than a new one at Ikea but much more special:

Then you can decorate around it, like with that bed I looked through Pinterest searching "wooden sleigh bed" until I found this to copy/inspire: www.idealhome.co.uk/house-tours/take-a-tour-of-this-19th-century-cottage-in-devon-85205

Also, looking at pictures on Pinterest will help you determine if you're sick of duck egg blue but still want to have a cool toned bedroom or not. I know some people have very particular feelings about bedrooms and just can't relax if eg. There are dark blue or grey walls, or find a yellow or wheat-gold colour scheme really offputting.

My bedroom now is a mishmash but when we move in 6 months I know we will still have chalk white walls and cool tones - I just can't imagine my bedroom any other way but my brother and his wife have gone for warm cream walls, medium toned wooden furniture, brown hessian lampshades, gold accents and it's lovely.

If you want to keep within the cream colourway, you could go for different neutrals - a colour like Slaked Lime on the walls, white bedding with a fur effect throw. I think neutrals can look lovely and interesting and quite luxurious if there's lots of different textures and patterns. This designer's instagram includes some nice neutral bedrooms
