do. I dont know about regulation hearths, ventilation, fireplace inserts gas inserts etc. Can someone provide advice on what I need buy or who I Need to hire. I’m
Clueless and my dad is clueless, and sadly my mum who would know what to
Do had Passed away so any help would be very welcome. Thanks all!

Do you want a real fire or logburner?
Find a local chimney sweep company who can come out and check the chimneys. Or fireplace shop?
I was lucky with 2 of mine, clear. One needed a liner and I had a log burner put in.

Thanks for getttinv back to me.There’s a gas pipe, so was hoping to just put a gas fire in there, what do I need for that?is all
I need- a gas guy, a gas fireinsert, and a chimney sweep? If that’s all, can one person do them all? Or should I get a sweep first to see what’s possible ? What about ventilation and hearth height and any other safety rules ?

I would advise you to get a gas safe engineer to advise what's possible and carry out any work. Chimney sweep etc would follow on from there...

Thanks , so is that just anyone registered with CORGI?
