Long time lurker. New bed delivered from John Lewis last night but instructions are missing. After many phone calls they have confirmed that they can't help until Monday when the supplier is open Xmas Sad. Hoping power of mumsnet can help. Does anybody have a copy of the instructions which they could share?

I can't help with instructions but could you possibly lay it out and give it a go?

Bedless · 08/12/2018 13:41

We have laid it all out but there are 6 funny shaped brackets which we have no clue where they could go Confused

Have you tried calling Loaf? I know they don't sell the actual bed as it's JL only but I've always found their customer service excellent so they might be able to help if they do have a copy, or maybe for one of their other beds if the construction is similar

Tried phoning Loaf in desperation. They advised that they couldn't help. They sold rights to the Loaf name a few years ago to John Lewis but no link to product.

Is it the Peachy bedframe? We have just put ours up from John Lewis this week so have the instructions handy

User12345677777 · 08/12/2018 14:04

Our instructions were pinned to the back of the headboard which took some finding!

User12345677777 - It is the Brioche bed frame but I would imagine the core construction is similar. No joy on the back of the headboard. It would be fantastic if you could share your instructions.

Here are instructions for 2 other JL beds - maybe they will help?

www.manualslib.com/manual/1363944/John-Lewis-803-46203.html#manual

That site has a lot of manuals on it but I couldn't find the specific one you're looking for.

Loaf has this bed that is similar - perhaps they can provide you with those directions by email in case they are also similar (since they're both "Loaf" beds)?

Transpires that the bed is made by Whitemeadow. Found these and we are having a bash. Thank you all. <a class="break-all" href="https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=www.whitemeadow.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/BED-ASSEMBLY-INSTRUCTIONS.pdf&ved=2ahUKEwj0ubjRuJDfAhVFqaQKHbeOBhsQFjAAegQIARAB&usg=AOvVaw0Pcz_DQGuf4BNHBZmSemhF" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=www.whitemeadow.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/BED-ASSEMBLY-INSTRUCTIONS.pdf&ved=2ahUKEwj0ubjRuJDfAhVFqaQKHbeOBhsQFjAAegQIARAB&usg=AOvVaw0Pcz_DQGuf4BNHBZmSemhF

User12345677777 - your spare bits look like part F. Will let you know how we get on.

User those discs go over the screw bits of the legs before you screw them in. It gives them extra grip to stop them loosening over time
