Half empty living room

I'm just about to put my house back on the market after a sale fell through in the summer. As I was half way through buying my next house I got rid of a lot of furniture as I was downsizing quite dramatically. Now I'm left with rooms with very little furniture in and it all looks a bit sparse.

The main problem is the living room. Its 15' 10" by 13'6" (or 4.85m by 4.12m if you prefer). In it I've got one 3 seater sofa, a nest of side tables and a TV unit with TV. There is also a boarded up fireplace which at least gives a focal point. About half of the room is empty. It doesn't bother me because I will be downsizing but I don't think it will look appealing to viewers.

Does anyone have any idea on cheap bits of furniture I can buy just to fill the space until I finally do get to move please?

Dining table and chairs unless you have dining room already. If so maybe a nice desk and chair with bookshelves behind. Or side board with smaller bookshelf opposite and reading chair with footstool and standard lamp. Or just couple of kallax units with group of pic above and large rug.

A nice big Christmas tree should make it less sparse, at this time of year.

Could you get another sofa - in either a similar style or a really contrasting colour, cheaply on eBay and then sell it on when you move?
I have a similar sized room and did this, and it feels much more homely now
