Decoration ideas for Brandy/Tan leather sofas

I have recently bought Brandy/Tan sofa (as in the picture) and I am struggling with ideas on how to decorate the living room. I already have a big TV unit that is dark brown. The walls are white and natural colour hardwood floor.
I want to buy curtains, coffee table , rug. Any ideas on what colour I should use?
I want colours that will blend and make it an inviting room to unwind after a long day.

Teal would look good. Teal and bronze accents would look good with this sofa and maybe a few touches of black.

fabulousathome, Teal won't clash with the TV unit? It is quite big and dark brown and I really do not want to have to change it too.

What colour for the coffee table do you see?

I'd go for white/neutrals and natural texturs.
Fluffy sheepskin type rug.
Glass topped coffee table? Thin wooden legs anyway. Or maybe side tables, less obtrusive sometimes. Knitted cushions and throws, or linen or embroidered effect.
Glass lampshades and old bronze or pewter effect fittings.
Your colours should range from natural wool/ linen, that lovely dusky blush colour that s around now - specially in the glass lampshade, I've seen lovely ones in made. Through to deep claret and touches of m oss green or dark forest green.
a plant in an old bronze or natural cerami c or somewhere pot.
That would be lovely and restful with all the colours flowing together.

If you have loads of books and toys everywhere and you want it to feel restful you should incorporate them rather than having them stand out in an otherwise toning room.
So again, natural textiles but pull the colour s around the room. Not Barbie pink everywhere, but if there is a big humble of colours in one area, no matter what it's from, they should be balanced in another area. So maybe a nice bright picture with the same saturation of colour on the opposite wall, or a claret lamp shade to take the sting out of Barbies Dream Home in the opposite corner.

I'd splash some teal around, possibly in a rug but leave it at that.... then a marble top coffee table, and neutral/light curtains. Neutral/light/even metallic cushions.

Eg....

Maybe even paint a wall.... IMO its classier than accent touches like cushions and curtains which can all look a bit twee/matchy matchy.

We have similar colour sofas (probably a bit darker than yours) and we have teal, bronze and brown curtains. We then have cushions in the same fabric but also some in teal and some in a bronze metallic type fabric.

We then have a picture above fireplace which is orangey/bronze in colour.

We’re moving tomorrow ( downsizing) but have just got rid of two similar coloured 3 seaters. We had the lounge painted a pale cream, then the curtains were Laura Ashley Gosford plum in the purple, so cream background with purple, sage and a duck egg blue colour. Cushions on each sofa in the same fabric, then a very large sisal rug which we had double trimmed in the purple and sage green linen. I absolutely loved it.... and the sofas are a fab colour for not showing marks etc.

I quite like the Teal/Bronze/Brown combination but I have a very very close friend who has used teal as the main theme in her house.
Do you think I could get away with replacing that combination with Green/Bronze/Brown instead?

I just need to add that I have bought a mixture of plants from Ikea to put around the house. Some of them are quite big and leafy

An emerald green or even one of the trendy darker ones would look lovely. You could go ahead and throw some pink/blush in then too....
