Made to order roman blinds

I need a large roman blind made. We have used a large co-op to do so before and they were brilliant quality. Since now closed so used Dunelm for the kitchen ones. They were really cheap fixings and fittings. But chuffing expensive to buy !

I want a very wide roman blind to go in the lounge. It will be used lots so has to have robust fixings etc.

Could anyone recommend a good quality online service please? Not that fussed with the material as it will most likely be plain so no need to try and match with existing furnishing.

Thanks

We used Hilary's for our Romans..
Quite pricey but was easy, someone came and measured and showed us samples, came back a week or so later and fitted! Brilliant quality, not a bad word to say about them..

Thanks. Is fitting included in price or just an option. I've seen them advertised but don't actually know anyone who has used them.

Will have a loo

It was included in the price..
what's ur budget?

MaHeidsGouping · 02/12/2018 15:15

Not for Roman blinds but I used Webblinds a few weeks back for vertical blinds. You can order free samples before you buy.

It was easy to measure and I managed to fit them myself without any problems.

We've used Blinds2go for a Roman blind recently, really happy with it and there are tips for measuring on the website. Big selection of fabrics and different linings etc.

The window is 160x230 so BIG

I can't even find one off the shelf to fit the window so not sure what the budget should be

I can't seem to find anyway in Hilary blinds that will give me a quote. Do they have to come round and measure up?
I had a quick look on blinds2go. Roughly £200

I don't think they do online quotes, a man came to me and measured up and quote there and then, price is size, fabric and blackout dependant..
Ours is about that size and we went for one of the priciest fabrics with blackout and cost £350..

I've used blinds to go three times now and really pleased with each blind.

You need to fit them yourself but easy to follow instructions and the fittings are sturdy.

Thanks. I need to have a hunt around and get something sorted.

NOT John Lewis!

We had endless trouble with ours (not even counting the original one which they made inside out...) and their customer service was crap. Literally years of recurrent problems because of poor workmanship.

Also had friends order a vertical slatted blind from them. Amongst many other issues and delays, they got delivered a horizontal slatted blind...

GreenTulips · 04/12/2018 18:15

We had ours fitted for £10 by a handy man

We used Blinds2go and have been very happy. Cheap. Great quality. Quick. Resolved an issue with minimal fuss.

I had heard the same about JL. So annoying as these things aren't cheap!

Think I'm going to order one from blinds2 go

We got 2 roman blinds and a thicker venetian blind, our windows are an odd size so nothing off the shelf would have worked. We got them from Direct Blinds for around £200 for all three including black out for the romans, they came a lot quicker than we thought and they were easy to fit!
