Does this exist? Day bed -> double bed with 90 orientation

I'm looking for a sofa bed or day bed that can be 1) lounged on to watch TV or read, 2) slept on as a single bed without having to do anything more than add bedclothes, and 3) transformed into a double when needed.

A daybed with a pop-up trundle (like this www.bedsonlegs.co.uk/day-beds/day-bed-with-trundle-guest-bed/serene-marseilles-day-bed-with-trundle-guest.html) is almost there, except the double arrangement leaves one person without a headboard unless the daybed is usually pushed into a corner or we swing it round through 90 when it's set up as a double.

A sofabed gives the right orientation vs wall and headboard, but isn't normally long and flat enough to be slept on without pulling the bed out.

So - has anyone come across something between the two?

I've got an IKEA sofabed which seems to tick all your boxes. No headboard on either side, but it is end-on to a wall anyway.

(Ignoring the fact this is from Dreams not IKEA,) it's this kind of simple style. Sofa by day, room to sleep a single, and folds out to a generous double.

Would that do?

Our Ikea one is a single that turns into a double. One doesnt get a headboard though

I use my day bed as a double and have the headboard for both, just spin the mattresses round

Thank you all for the suggestions. The click-clack styles aren't great for the location. The sofa will be against a wall, so when it's opened into a bed it's either got nothing at the head end or I'll have to swing the bed round to use the wall.

Kissmycousinkate most of the daybed+trundles I have seen are 90*190 mattresses ie total width 180 total length 190, so I thought they would overhang at the end if I turned them the other way. Also wasn't sure about bedslats the wrong way as well.

Do you mind me asking what make yours is?

Check out ikea FRIHETEN or the HOLMSUND. We've just got the latter and it's fab.
