Wall above bed-head decoration?

I had 3 frames on the wall above the head of the bed but have taken them down after a few months as cannot get out of my head the damage they could do if they fall down onto our heads - DD age 4 often sleeps in my bed.

The wall is a painted feature wall but now looks plain.

Other than a dreamcatcher, poster, wall rug or canvas, can anyone suggest something to place on the wall that is modern but less dangerous?!!

A wallpapered wall? Or an upholstered wall if you want to go for a kind of upmarket hotel look? Both could bring pattern and texture into the room. Or what about fabric in embroidery hoops? I've seen those hung nicely on pinterest and while they could still fall they're much lighter and less likely to cause damage!

What about a macrame wall hanging?? I got one from amazon for about £16 and it looks great!

Stencil, eg in a tall headboard shape?
