What to use this corner for?

Having relocated the bin to the other side of the kitchen, I now have a space that I don't know what to do with! Any ideas for what I could put there?

A wine rack?

I would get one of the 3-tier trolleys from IKEA and relegate all the dumped stuff (post, pieces of Lego, important letters from school, bits of string) to it.

No point pretending they are not going to be dumped in the kitchen - but at least it keeps it all off the work surfaces!

A nice plant

I'm not a massive drinker so never really keep wine 'in stock' - it would probably look quite empty or get used as a dumping ground for random bits and bobs!

Have you considered leaving it empty? If you don't have anything you need to store there, it's not obligatory to fill the gap.

I like the idea of a plant but it would have to be the right shape I guess.

Could you put a couple of curved shelves there? Same wood as your work surface. Can be used for extra storage of plants.

A book shelf for recipe books?

Somewhere to keep paperwork - school letters, bills etc
