Not sure if I am being too particular?

We had a new carpet fitted in the master bedroom on Monday. It mostly looks great but in certain lights, it looks like there are some slight ripples in a particular area. The same area of carpet feels slightly slack in comparison to most of the rest of it which feels tighter. I’ve not paid anything other than the deposit yet. Would it be unreasonable to make them come back to look at it before we paid? I don’t know if i’m being a bit fussy as i’m a perfectionist by nature. My OH isn’t bothered one way or the other and says it’s for me to sort out if i’m that bothered about it.

You paid for a defect-free carpet. Get them to come out and take a look at it. It may be a defect that the fitter has not spotted, or thought they could get away with. I had a similar problem with a sisal carpet and they replaced it.
