Why are mirrors so expensive?!

Gold mirror from habitat but even with the discount it still seems like a lot of money for a mirror!

Any ideas for a cheaper version???

I love habitat stufff but never buy it (except for bedlinen in the sale) because it’s so expensive.

Have a look in charity shops - I’ve bought all our mirrors from the Salvation Army shop near us. None over £10.

A couple of them I’ve repainted. One is oval with a bevelled edge mirror and a walnut frame with a beautiful inlay - £8.

I’d have a nosy in places like dunelm, the range, wilkos etc. I got a great mirror for £40 from the range.

I got a large gold framed Debenhams one from Ebay for £10. Have a look on there and Gumtree, Facebook.

We were looking for an oval mirror and couldn’t find one anywhere.
In the end we bought an oval picture frame and has a piece of mirror glass cut to fit it.

I got all my large 3 mirrors from ikea

I agree, ikea is good value for money. Check their clearance sections as well!

Keep an eye out on Facebook selling groups and on Marketplace. So much cheaper. I picked up a huge mirror on Facebook for £10 which was originally £300.

Homesense, Tk maxx, the range, wilko , dunelm and ebay all good mirrors at great prices.

Charity shop!

Ikea is great if you’re happy to see your home furnishings everywhere, including in schools, offices and student lets across the country.

However if you want something you can be sure no one else has, charity shops are the way to go!

Yes Facebook is also a good idea. I am fed up with Ikea!

I bought a really nice mirror from a charity shop for £8 and one from the Range (£15?) that looks nice, but the mirror is a bit off; the reflection of the picture rail on the opposite wall is decidedly wonky, like a Hall of Mirrors experience.
