Help with worktop please

I have a very small kitchen as you can see! I'd like to replace the worktop and have a black granite half bowl sink. I can't afford to change the units but I don't mind them but not sure what colour worktop. I'm replacing the flooring throughout the open plan kitchen and living room area with walnut laminate. I will be keeping the dark grey walls. Would really appreciate some ideas please on colour and what sort of material for the worktop. Thanks all.

I would go a white material of some sort. White will work well with the walnut floor. I wouldn't go dark as the floor is dark enough and there doesn't seem to be much natural light so the end result could be too dingy. I would also paint the cupboards and the skirting board all in the same grey as the walls. It will remove all the lines and make the room feel calmer and less bitsy.

Try Ikea for a very nice (cheap) white worktop. Very happy with ours.
