Seeking very thin candles

Prawnofthepatriarchy · 26/10/2018 18:52

I've Googled relentlessly but I'm not getting anywhere. eBay, Amazon - nothing. I know they exist because I used to have some.

I have some very thin candlesticks and I need some candles to fit. They need to be only about twice as thick as birthday cake candles.

White would do, but ideally they'd be blue or turquoise.

Any ideas?

I only spent 2 minutes looking. There are bound to be colours. My mum has red thin candles but she bought them years ago.

Thank you for finding those. I'll check whether they're thin enough. You have done better than I did and I was searching for ages. Much appreciated Smile

Try searching for "slim candles"

Prawnofthepatriarchy · 28/10/2018 10:30

I've tried slim, extra slim, thin, very thin - all sorts - I'm used to web searches.

I was hoping someone here might know a place that perhaps isn't online or just have some specialist knowledge. You never know your luck.

Kevin Matthew - they are church suppliers but I dont think that matters (unless you try to buy ecclesiastical robes).

justaweeone · 28/10/2018 10:41

Not sure if these are slim enough

Actually scrap that, they certainly aren't

justaweeone · 28/10/2018 10:51

The keyword is taper!

Prawnofthepatriarchy · 28/10/2018 13:16

Taper just gets you a certain shape - wider at the bottom. People selling candles of all sorts of widths use taper It's looking like florists supplies may be the way forward. The thin candles I had before started life as a table decoration.

Thanks to everyone.

Shallichangemyname the candles you suggested were the wrong colour but right in every other respect, so I went looking for St Eval candles on other sites and found some in white. I've bought them, so fingers crossed.

The Etsy ones were absolutely lovely but hideously expensive, Eminybob.

I shall buy some of the party delights ones if the St Eval ones turn out to be too fat, justaweeone.

I'm so grateful to all of you who bothered to answer. MN is a wonderful community. Thank you.

Great! I was going to say floristry supplies, my mother used to be a great one for flower arranging and that might well be where she got hers from/for.
