Kitchen mixer spray tap - indispensable or unnecessary?

We're in the midst of redoing our kitchen and the sink mixer is one of the last things I need to sort out.

I was just reading the great things in your kitchen thread, and saw that this was mentioned often.

We don't have a spray tap in our current kitchen and I wasn't planning to get one for the new kitchen.

But is that crazy talk? Do I not really appreciate how life-changing they are, because I haven't had one? Or are they not worth the extra $£€ ??

Hi Dowager

We’re also half way through a kitchen refit

I’ve gone with one of the taps you mention having used at a friends house, I can see that for rinsing pots for the dishwasher it will stop a lot of splash

I got mine half price at Screwfix

I use mine daily to clean the sink but also if I have just cooked and the pan doesn't go in the dishwasher, I can direct a powerful spray at the stuff up the sides of the pan to remove it.

here is the one I have. I have had it 5 years. Love it.

That, an instant hot water tap, the induction hob and American Fridge freezer that dispenses water and ice are the things I still love about my kitchen extension.
