Am finally having my small cosy (in middle of house so no natural light) lounge, large dining room / living room (plenty of light - has patio doors) and quite dark hallway and stair case done. I have looked at so many posts and colour cards and am totally bamboozled now about whether I should try and stay neutral or if some colour should be used somewhere. In the living room, I have a huge ingelnook fireplace and also don't know whether this should be a different colour or the same. Any ideas or photos to give me inspiration would be very welcome. I am currently toying with something neutral like just walnut or polished pebble for the hall and stairs and then using some colour in living room and dining room. Dining room leads off from kitchen with just an arch. Kitchen is pale green units and cream walls / tiles. Should I go for something green to contrast in the dining room??

Timeless everywhere. Problem solved.

Now go & relax Wine

If you can't decide, it clearly doesn't matter enough to be worth the stress you're putting yourself into.

Remember it's really easy to splash a feature colour on afterwards if you fancy a change. Yoni's "Timeless everywhere" suggestion is bang on for that!

Glass of wine, suitable colour cards for an accent, close your eyes and stab a finger. No? Do it again until sorted. Two minutes tops, if you haven't chosen by then give up and go Timeless everywhere.

Polished pebble is quite blue in my kitchen
I have rock salt in the bathroom which is a v v pale grey. Or something like white cotton?

White everywhere and a (I know, but it's easy) feature wall in your large dining/living room. Sky blue or a lime green. Soft lighting in lounge e.g. standard lamp, table lamp. Job done.
