Purple and teal Tween Room?

My DD is moving into my DS bedroom as he has left us to go to uni and told her you may aswell have my room!
He has a grey carpet, which we want to keep as it is only a couple of years old and like new.
She has a bed that is a bright purple colour. Which we want to keep, she also loved teal/ turquoise, do you think these colours will look ok with a grey carpet?
Thinking we could get a bright rug to brighten the floor up.

I think orange would look better than teal with purple and grey, however teal would be fine if that's what she wants.

Thank you, she wont have orange. She has a set list of favourite colours.

My girls are having bits of lilac/turquoise for a mermaid sort of feel in their room. Wayfair have got some fab mermaid scale curtains. I think it goes well together.

We have just done turquoise and grey walls with a grey carpet and accessories will be in deep pink. I think purple would go great too.

Have a look on Pinterest, lots of puple/teal going on. Accent colours include pink, lilac and yellow-y gold!
