Please help me to choose a paint colour!

I'm redecorating my main living room in a couple of weeks. It's a north facing room with dark wooden beams on the ceiling and a huge inglenook fireplace that takes up one wall. At the moment it is painted magnolia and I hate it (obviously), plus it makes it feel cold during the day, then in the early evening when it gets the sun it seems to turn very yellow!

I think therefore that I need a 'warm' colour, and I would like it to be a stoney-grey neutral. The fireplace bricks are pointed in lime mortar so I'd like something that complements that. I don't want a true grey because I think it would feel too 'cold'.

Any ideas? Thanks!

Cant recommend a specific but have you looked at farrow and ball? They do a lot of warm neutrals.

Farrow & Ball Elephants breath is a lovely warm neutral, albeit pricey unless you get a colour match.

Dulux dusted moss is nice. Or something like Egyptian cotton

Farrow and ball Great White is a lovely pink toned warm light grey - I had it made up in Valspaar V700 for my kitchen. Looks fab.

Dulux natural hessian is a warm stone colour, Homebase also did one called stone which is slightly darker than natural hessian.

I looked at a paint sample chart online. Then I tried a number of different colors out in the paint shop and asked a few questions. My personal favourite was a lovely blue one. It’s your house after all. What is your favourite color?

Egyptian Cotton (Dulux) is a lovely warm grey beige neutral.
