I have an open, coal fireplace in my lounge. It's lovely but if I am honest it has rarely been used and was STBXH's thing more than it was ever mine. Now he has gone I think it will barely be used at all. I think it's probably a good idea to keep it as it's a bit of a feature and I may have to sell in a few years.
So I am wondering what I could do with it. Could I get an electric fire that would fit into the space where the grate is? And are they any better these days in the way they look?
