Kitchen flooring - help!

We had a new kitchen put in January and we put down lino. I thought it would be soft under foot and easy to keep clean. I was wrong. It’s a nightmare to keep clean! The dirt seems to be engrained in it!
What is the best flooring for a kitchen? I was put off tiles in case they crack when I drop things/ kids throw things from highchairs.
I need something that’s easy to keep clean as we have a baby, toddler and 2 big dogs. Thanks!
