Replacing bathroom tiles

Has anyone had just their bathroom tiles replaced? I hate mine but they run behind the sink and toilet and inside the shower cubicle so have the shower door fitted into them.

Did you get someone to do it? Did them remove then refit the accessories and was it expensive?

We did this for the same reason, hated the tiles but the suite was fine, we picked expensive Porcelanosa tiles so it ended up costing us £2k for tiles, tiler, plumber to fit new shower and towel rail, general handy man to plaster ceiling, fit shower screen, vinyl flooring and finish off. I seem to remember the tiler removed the basin from the wall to tile behind and things like that.

Thanks Fritzy. That is interesting from a cost pov and suggests I may be able to just do the tiles for £1000?

It's also been bloody annoying because I just took a look at Porcelanosa tiles and now the cheaper ones I'd earmarked don't seem anywhere near good enough Grin.

Ooops sorry about that! I love our tiles but actually I’ve seen plenty around just as nice. I’m sure if you find a good tiler they will move everything around to tile behind and you should be able to do it for £1k. Depending on the size of your bathroom of course, ours is pretty small, standard 2 bed terrace size.
