What colour worktop to go with gloss cashmere kitchen?

Hi ladies, I'm getting a kitchen fitted in cashmere gloss but not sure what sort of worktop or flooring to put with it. I was thinking a stone effect worktop but DP thinks darkish wood will look better.

Any suggestions or pics of what other people have done would be very much appreciated! Thanks

My mums having stone effect one from howdens (natural stone grey square edge) with her cashmere kitchen, the website photos aren't great but it's really lovely. There's a slight fawn in the stone which matches the cashmere.

We have a cashmere gloss handle less kitchen with a dark grey flecked worktop - looks great when it's clean and wet!!

We had a lovely quartz light colour with grey ripples marble effect. Looks fab with our gloss cashmere.

Kat that's gorgeous and quite similar to what I am leaning toward. RSI yours sounds similar too. It's a new build I'm buying so choice is limited. This pic shows the stone effect I'm thinking of and the dark wood effect DP favours. There are upgrades available but nothing I like!

I think of those the darker grey (on the left) looks best - the brown looks a little washed out

Im with your DH, I think the wood worktop is far nicer. The grey worktop looks cold and harsh against the soft warm colour of the cashmere

I like the wood colour too. Would look lovely with some patchwork/Moroccan type tiles

I've got a cashmere kitchen (shaker, not gloss) with a light oak worktop and very big natural grey stone tiles (like York stone flags) on the floor.

I prefer the wood look with the cashmere. The stone looks cold and harsh against such a soft, pale yet warm colour.

Thanks everyone, I think I have to admit DP was right!

We have an oak table which is much paler and I was worried it would clash but the table can always bw changed if it does I guess!

I have chosen lucente cashmere kitchen units which come across more pinkish Not sure of what laminate worktop to go for.I do like Wickes mystic pine. Not good with colors at all. please advise
