Options for putting TV on

Not very keen on dedicated media/ TV units but I can't wall mount the telly either.

Assume 40 or 43 inch plus a Sky box. Can I put it on a normal chest of drawers and hide the cables or maybe I need a wider lower sideboard to fit both the TV and the Sky box side by side?

You can easier customise a piece of furniture

Unstylish is probably the answer!!

I bought a stag corner unit for £10 in a charity shop, painted it and changed the drawer handle
