Sofa bed to go with my old leather sofa?

I have a gorgeous tan leather sofa. We've had it for years and it looks nicely battered and it is soooo comfy that I really don't want to get rid of it. The exact sofa isn't made any more, but it is similar to this... www.dfs.co.uk/caesar/ces43aotb#ampViewer#jwhkTJAtv0brMxkC.97

We have just moved and need a second sofa, which I really want to be a sofa bed. I can't get an exactly matching one, so need a sofa bed that complements our existing sofa. The walls are going to be either white or very pale grey. I was thinking of either a duck egg blue or teal, but I'm not very good at this kind of thing!

Any suggestions? Budget up to around £750.

Thanks!

Duck egg will contrast nicely in my view. You can if you like add cushions to the new duck-egg sofa that tone with the original sofa (so in the tan/orange/paprika/yellow spectrum), thus linking them together visually. See if you can echo the shapes of the original sofa in the new one.

Ok, so if I try to get something a similar shape, that could look fine?

What kind of material? Given it will go alongside leather, I was wondering if I should go for a more natural material. Maybe something linen or twill like?

Would it look ok or awful to get scatter cushions to match the new couch, but use them on the leather couch - try to link them a little? I'm trying to think of what cushions would look nice on the leather couch, then work from there, IYSWIM?

Does this range look like it might work? And if so, which colour would you go for?

Yes think that sofa will look nice with the old one. "Sky" is the right colour, for me. And the cushions will look nice on either sofa if you stick with the spectrum I suggested. Natural fabrics like linen or twill will look good with the leather.

I'm considering the mulberry or the lime. Would that be totally crazy?

For me the mulberry is 'too close but not quite it'. looks like you are trying to tone but not managing it cos of greater amount of yellow in old sofa. The lime looks great though, I was torn between that and the "sky".
