Paint Question

Maybe a really daft question. Could I use emulsion paint on top of kitchen/bathroom paint?

I have just painted one wall in my lounge in F&B stiffkey blue (estate emulsion) it was just white before. It took 3 coats (biggish wall) & used roughly about 3/4 of a 2.5lr tin. It looks fab & I love it.

However, there's a little wall on the same side next to the door, about 2.5ft wide & it does need doing, to balance it. I have about a quarter or probably just under, left of stiffkey left, so I'm really not sure I've enough for 3 coats. My other idea was to coat it in some manhattan grey (johnstones) bathroom paint so it has what would be a darker 'undercoat' so it would only maybe need 1 or 2 coats or of stiffkey. Can't afford another tin of stiffkey. Should I just give it a go - if all else fails I've got a load of white emulsion anyway or leave the frig alone?

Why not go to BnQ or Dulux and get a colour match of the stiff key to use as your undercoat?

That's a good idea, however, I've taken a risk & it's paid off - I just started cutting in with my tester pot & ive done the first coat with my left over F&B & ive still got enough left for a 2nd coat - and I think that will do it - this wall must be better - it's not as patchy looking at the other was after the first coat plus the tv is in front of it anyway so the bottom half is hidden so it doesn't have to be completely perfectly covered, I can always 'perfect' that bit at a later date, panic over, I'm glad it'll look at least good enough so DH doesn't have a shit fit & think 'oh god what has she done now' when he walks in from work 😂
