I want to get a headboard for a basic single bed in our guest room. I've googled and got overwhelmed! There are so many that look similar but I could spend anything from £50 to £300 and I wonder how different they really are? I don't want to spend too much but I don't want a piece of crap that doesn't last and looks awful. Please help

I can't help with a store-bought headboard, but I made used a large square of MDF type board which I covered with a gorgeous fabric (stapled on the back) and hung behind the bed. You can do one big square or several smaller ones - whatever would look best.

I did the same but I used large piece of heavy cardboard and tacked it to the wall. I then covered it in a duvet cover the same as the bedding. Looks fancy!Grin
