Looking for a cheaper alternative to f&b pointing.

Kitchen painted using farrow and ball but can't justify the price for the utility room!!

Go to a Leyland/ Johnstones mixing centre and they'll do an exact match, just tell them the name and they'll find it in their system. Far better quality than both Dulux and F&B.

Funny that, my decorator has just left after painting two testers on the wall.
Look at this website, it’s interesting.

www.e-paint.co.uk/Colour_alternatives.asp

I have Dulux Subtle Ivory 4 and Cameo Silk 2 to try.

The Trade mix Centre Said that Johnstones do the best matches to F & B BUT their tester size pots aren’t accurate. My decorator suggested getting a litre tin in that case, to try it.
However, I’m sure one of the Dulux alternatives will do for me. I like Dulux Diamond Matt because it’s so easy to clean.

I love the chalkinessof F and B but it’s a pain to get marks off.

Sorry, forgot to say I’m looking for a Pointing match too.

Thank you , many happy hours of F and B rummaging.

My decorator has just finished first coat of lookalikey Pointing., Dulux Subtle Ivory 4 on my bedroom walls. It looks fab!

I've had all my house painted using FandB copy cat trade paint from B and Q, and John stones. Both have come out great, at a fraction of the cost of F and B original paint. Guess what. If you don't tell anyone then no one will know!

Just finished my bedroom in Dulux Subtle Ivory 4. Good substitute for Pointing. It looks lovely.
