DD2 really wants her room decorated with wallpaper you can colour in yourself. I don’t want to do the whole room or even a whole wall, but can’t see how to make it work on a section of wall. She doesn’t have a small wall in her room that would lend itself to this. I think a strip would look odd but can’t work out how to make it look good. Pinterest hasn’t been much help.
Any ideas? Thanks.

A little bit of floor heading around the outside to kind of frame it?

Beading*

Could you not offer to paint one wall in blackboard paint? At least it can be done over and over again.

She wants something like this.

Some kind of frame would work but I’d like it to be temporary.

How old is she? If it's going to be neat and tidy I'd have no problem with doing a whole wall but otherwise... no

I agree with the blackboard paint idea, she can re do it again and again :)

She’s 6 and fairly neat.

She won’t want a blackboard wall. Chalk is too chunky to colour in neatly. Also she doesn’t want to draw, just colour in.

Get a roll and put a large piece in a large picture frame and remove the glass - then hang it on the wall, keep replacing and if one is really special replace the glass and have it as a feature

Paper it on the wall width ways in a smaller section and then use wooden beading to create a frame around it.

Get a large piece of MDF or plywood. Cover it in the paper, edge it with beading, and then screw or stick it to the wall. Large Command picture strips would hold it well and be removable when you're bored with it.

We have a blackboard made the same way; I'll try and attach a picture. You could make it as big as you can get the piece of wood Smile
