Decorating the hallway...help me finish!

It's the school holidays, so I always take in on a project. This years is the hallway. What I thought would take two weeks has now taken 4 and I'm still not done. Confused
I've had to scrape all of the woodwork ( 3 flights of stairs) and replaster two walls. I'm on the final bits of woodwork and then I can start wallpapering ( the bit I enjoy).
Please help keep me motivated! Is anyone else doing a job or just inspire me with takes of your wonderful full decorated hallways.

Our hall and downstairs loo took me ages - loads of annoying cutting in and a defunct telephone extension to remove (by the basin?!). I was painting embossed paper and kept seeing bits of the old colour peeping through. Looks fab now though and is a lot lighter and brighter.

Sounds like a massive job! But you've done the hard bit now you get to do the fun stuffSmile

Any pics?

Wow, that's amazing! How did you scrape the paint off? We've got one flight of stairs to do, as a result of having a loft conversion done and seeing the lovely new bannister put in, but I'm dreading it!

Hi! I used a heat gun to remove the paint, it took me forever days.
I scraped all of the skirting boards too, which resulted in Replastering 2 walls as the plaster came off in chunks, with the bits that were stuck to the top of the skirting boards. I've one more coat to do on the ceiling and the wallpaper arrives tomorrow. I just want to walk in to it done, I keep looking at the images if the paper and thinking how lovely it will look, but now I just want to give up. I'll post pictures tomorrow. So you can all see how awful the hallway looks.

Beautiful paper but the pattern match would give me nightmares

I can't wait to see the finished stairs as the colour is going to look amazing

The new carpet is being laid next weekend, so I have a deadline, but a sick child has put a jolt to everything.

Hi everyone, it’s great to hear about your house projects! I’m impressed that you’ve managed to do so much in the school holidays. I’ve slowed down this summer but the kids are back at school/nursery today so I’m cracking on with my new bedroom. I do interior design/styling and I’m giving myself a well deserved (if I do say so myself) bedroom retreat. I just need a calm space in the house that is mine and mine alone and I can not wait 😊

We are at the decorating stage of house renovation 😳....7 rooms plus hall stairs landing and porch. Tomorrow the paper goes up in our room and I can finish the woodwork...carpets on the 17th furniture on the 21st. I'm so so tired of decorating we have 2 rooms done and this one will be complete by Thursday then it's onto the downstairs
