Would you go for the blue or the red option? It's an attic room with beams and sloped ceilings but good height on the two walls I have proposed for the mid sleeper bed..... can't decide.

Drawings definitely not quite to scale but the wardrobe is diddy- a kids idea thing.

Blue or red?!

Blue for me, the bed is tucked away against a wall, in a corner. Plus more space for playing Smile

Blue was my gut feeling but the bed overlaps that tiny alcove.... which I had cute plans for, dammit!

Probably blue. But wouldn’t go for a mid sleeper. I got one for my DS as his room was tiny, but it meant that I had to climb up onto his bed every night to read him a story, and could never just sit at the end of his bed to chat to him before he went to sleep.

Blue for the extra floor space. Your DS can incorporate the little alcove into the den he'll make under his bed ☺

Ah, that's what the sofa is for, stories, luckily it's a god size room and he is desperate for a cabin bed.

And yes, exactly what I was thinking of doing with the alcove now.... it could have secret doors......

Blue.

Mid-high sleepers are a PITA to change sheets on though!

Hi. Using the red plan I would move the bed across to the left so it is in the corner and along the back wall. Move the book bin over beside the sofa - if you're going to use the sofa for story-time this would create a little reading area/corner. Depending on the dimensions of your wardrobe and chest of drawers I would put one of them at the end of the bed and the other in the alcove. Toys could be put either side of the recess where the window is. This still leaves plenty of floor space.

I like that mrsmama but while the alcove fits the drawer I'd bash my head putting clothes away.... but I might try this before I commit. Thanks all, love the input you can get from MN!

blue - I don't like beds without the headboard up against a wall, always made me feel something/someone might be behind it as a child.
