I have had the same ones for 20 years and I really need to move on.

Please send me ideas of your lovely sofas.

Requirements

Small living room so one 3 seater and 2 seater (ie no room for an L shape)

Current ones are leather and so easy to wipe down

Would like non leather and ideally something like grey or blue

But have 3 kids. Youngest is 5. So need to be practical.

Have you considered Next?

we have parker knoll one in a pale blue and gold beige stripe. It is the most comfy sofa we've ever had. Brilliant quality and made in uk.

Not sure if they still do the fabric we chose but this is the model. I would recommend FV and parker knoll

Sofa.com do a great range - v comfy and hardwearing

I love my French Connection Zinc sofas from DFS, I've got one in grey and one in teal. They're comfy and stylish. I've them for 2 years and still as good as new, no cushions sagging etc.

I'd definitely recommend going around a few different sofa places and testing them out.

I have sofa.com bluebell large & small sofas, they are really comfy & so far have worn well, had them about four years if you go for one of the really popular colours/fabric you can usually have them delivered really quickly customer service is also excellent.

sweetheart1313 I really like those. Are hey comfy or more solid than comfy? They look gorgeous. And having only had leather sofas - how do you clean them? (am thinking messy fingers!)

@onedayatatime73 they are not too soft, not too hard - you don't sink right into them, but they are still very comfortable. The only slight annoying thing is that the seats can slide forward after they've been used a few times, but I've put gripper mats under them which has solved the problem.

My house is a child-free zone, but I've managed to get chocolate Blush on them a few times and it wipes straight off. The material is a textured weave which I think helps. I've also discovered just now that the seat and back cushions also have zips on, so can be removed and washed!

I am just waiting on a delivery of those zinc sofas! Glad to hear a positive review of them a few years on!
